POLICE have renewed appeals for help to identify a body found in the River Skerne, Darlington.
Despite inquiries, the identity of the man, discovered last Thursday, is still unknown.
He is described as white, about 50 years old, clean-shaven, with grey eyes and grey-brown hair, receding at the temples. He is 5ft 7in and of slim build.
The man wore a dark blue Diadora canvas zipped jacket, with red flashes on the sleeve, and stone-coloured Next jeans.
He also wore a green, round-necked Kickers jumper, featuring the word Kickers in blue, and a purple, long-sleeved dress shirt with a black round-neck T-shirt.
He had a Sekonda watch and a gold signet ring with a skull design. He also had a tattoo on the lower part of his left arm.
Anyone who may know the man's identity is asked to call Darlington police, on (01325) 467681.
