AN author is asking people in Teesdale for pictures of the dale to be included in a book.
Tom Hutchinson is hoping to include a series of black and white pictures and postcards of local people in the book, called People's History.
It will cover Barnard Castle, Whorlton, Wycliffe, Hutton Magna, Ovington, Winston, Gainford, Piercebridge, Stainton, Staindrop, Cleatlam, Cotherstone, Mickleton and Middleton-in-Teesdale, and surrounding villages.
It will also feature material on Darlington, and Mr Hutchinson is keen to include pictures of railway stations in south-west Durham.
He can be contacted on 0191-410 4383. All material will be collected and returned personally, and the donors will be acknowledged in the book.
