Newcastle won an important FA Cup Fourth Round tie against Peterborough 4-2 today.
However, Bobby Robson's side endured some difficult moments along the way.
It appeared that at the interval Newcastle looked to have the game under controle, thanks to goals from Andy O'Brien and Jamie McClen.
Soon after the restart, however, O'Brien headed into his own net and Peterborough's David Farrell's strike gave Peterborough parity.
Neale Fenn almost gave Peterborough the lead when he broke clear, but his dinked shot was superbly saved by Shay Given.
That was the spur for Newcastle to regroup and in the final ten minutes an Alan Shearer penalty and a header from Aaron Hughes restored their two-goal advantage.
