A SCHOOL band has extended its audience to America after selling its first compact disc on the Internet.
The band from Tudhoe Grange Comprehensive School, Spennymoor, recently went on-line with a website created by former member Paul Marshall.
It coincided with the release of the band's ninth compilation CD, put together with the help of the school's head of music and band musical director Adrian Biddulph.
He said the band was thrilled with the idea of selling a compact disc in America, saying: "The order form has only just gone up on the site. I think this is amazing. It opens up a whole new audience.''
The website also offers a chance for band members past and present to get in touch with each other.
Mr Biddulph said: "The band has been going for 20 years and there are a lot of people who have gone through. We have a place for people to sign and leave messages for each other, and that is going down great guns.''
