YOUNGSTERS have made their stage debuts in two performances to complete a drama project at Grangetown Boys' Club.
The 15-strong Grangetown Coyotes are part of the Single Regeneration Budget-funded Focus on Grangetown Youth Project.
They have been working with the National Youth Theatre to produce H and G, a modern play set in their community.
Producer and director Jackie Phillips began working with the youngsters towards the end of last year, in a partnership that was financed by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council.
She said yesterday: "The play is based on ideas that came from the children themselves.
"It's a hard-hitting story about two brothers - Harry and Gavin - who get themselves in trouble with graffiti and vandalism.
"But in the end it comes out right - there is a happy ending."
