A TEMPORARY recruiting office is being set up in Guisborough as part of a drive to tell young people about training, travel and sporting opportunities of an Army career.
The office, near Safeway on Westgate, will be staffed by a team of trained local recruiters, who will be answering questions on modern Army life.
The Army has 15,000 vacancies available and recruits can earn up to £198 a week when they join up.
Lieutenant Colonel John May, Commander Regional Recruiting for the North East and Yorkshire, said: "Guisborough is traditionally a strong recruiting area, and establishing a base in the town centre will make it even easier for local young people who might be interested in an Army career, to access all the information they need about it."
The recruiting office will be in Guisborough next week and anyone wanting further information should call Middlesbrough Armed Forces Careers Office on (01642) 243413.
