BUDDING sculptors are being encouraged to sign up for a series of courses at an arts workshop in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
The sessions at the Old School Arts Workshop, in Middleham, are running throughout the year and will focus on various different aspects of sculpting.
Mould-making and casting will be studied in depth on 28 courses, which organisers believe are ideal for anyone interested in pursuing a new hobby.
Peter Hibbard, of the workshop, said: "If you are 18 years old and interested in this sort of thing you can simply go to college, but it's different for people who are 30 or 50 years old.
"It is very difficult if you are interested to know exactly where to get started, so we are always delighted to have people coming from the local area and further afield."
Course sessions will be staged on weekends and during the week. Anyone wanting further information can contact the workshop on (01969) 623056.
