A DOG called Lucky is seeking a new home after being abandoned in a yard when her owners moved house.
The five-year-old Jack Russell-cross was found by the people who moved into the house.
They contacted the National Animal Sanctuary Support League, near Darlington, for help to rehome her.
Pauline Wilson, from the league, said it was a mystery why Lucky had been left in the yard. Lucky is a real sweetie. All she wants is to sit on your knee. She is a lovely little dog that deserves a nice home. She is great with children and would probably settle anywhere," she said.
