YOUNG dancers from Middlesbrough strutted their stuff at a regional competition - and walked away with prizes.
Rebecca Bottomley, 12, and Carly McAvoy, 19, came first in their age categories at the Newcastle Dance Festival Cabaret Awards.
Francie-Jo Heward, nine, was runner-up in her category.
All three study tap and modern dance at the Samantha Moore Academy of Dance, Marton Road, Middlesbrough.
Ms Moore said: "We have never entered this competition before but the standard was excellent.
"We were the only school from this area and we brought home most of the trophies."
