NORTH-EAST comedian Vic Reeves is all smiles after his former topless model girlfriend accepted his marriage proposal during a night out.
The 43-year-old star, from Darlington, proposed to Nancy Sorrell days after returning from a Caribbean holiday with his estranged wife Sarah and their two children.
Reeves and fellow North-East comedian Bob Mortimer, from Middlesbrough, have become household names with shows such as the Smell of Reeves and Mortimer and Shooting Stars.
And it was while filming Shooting Stars that Reeves met Miss Sorrell, who once worked as a dancer at Peter Stringfellow's club in London.
Friends of the millionaire comedian, whose real name is Jim Moir, said the star was "deeply in love" with Miss Sorrell, who is 18-years his junior.
He proposed to the 25-year-old from Essex during a night out at London's trendy Groucho Club. After slipping a diamond ring on her finger he ordered several bottles of champagne to celebrate.
His 31-year-old estranged wife was said to be happy for Reeves, who now lives in Kent.
