TWO police officers have tied the knot after meeting on duty in the North-East.
Damien Stevens, 30, met Amanda Holland, 28, when he transferred to the Darlington force as a dog-handler in 2000.
The couple, who both still work for Darlington police, got married at St Cuthbert's Church in Amanda's home town of Chester-le-Street, in County Durham, at the weekend.
They are setting off for a skiing honeymoon in Switzerland on Wednesday.
