ROADS in the centre of Ripon will be closed overnight from Tuesday to next Saturday while they are resurfaced.
Work will be carried out between 10pm and 6am each day and will affect Queen Street, one-way southbound, from its junction with the Old Market Place to its junction with Market Place North and Moss's Arcade, one-way westbound, from its junction with Victoria Grove to Queen Street.
North Yorkshire County Council chiefs said access for pedestrians would be maintained at all times.
Drivers are being warned that the appropriate one-way orders will be suspended while the temporary road closures are in place, particularly to allow taxi drivers to access the rank on Market Place East
