BUS travel is being promoted to help residents take part in Easter fun.

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council wants visitors to the countryside to travel by bus - with the offer of free tickets.

Countryside officer Briony Serginson said: "Cutting car journeys has many benefits for the environment, especially as the local transport network serves our countryside so well."

Activities at Flatts Lane woodland country park include a mural painting workshop, map reading and orienteering and Easter crafts.

At Guisborough Walkway, events include mosaic mirror and pottery workshops.
