POLICE have released an image of a man who attempted to burgle a pensioner's home.
The man, who is believed to be 30 to 40 years old, called at an old people's housing complex in Mellow Court, Eldon Street, Darlington, claiming to be a water company official.
Despite getting inside, he left empty handed.
The incident happened on Saturday, March 9, at about 6.30pm.
The man was white, of medium build, about 5ft 5in, with dark brown hair, brushed back and well-groomed, a roundish face, clean shaven, and had brown eyes. He spoke with a Durham accent and was wearing dark clothing.
