A SCHOOL has received a national award for its high GCSE results.
Belmont Comprehensive School, in Durham, received a School Achievement Award for the second year running.
Education Minister Stephen Timms said: "The hard work and dedication of teaching and support staff are crucial to a school's success. The awards celebrate this effort."
The past five years have seen continued improvements in the school.
Headteacher Pat Howarth said: "We are delighted to receive national recognition for the second year running. This award reflects the hard work and dedication of staff, students and parents in working together for success."
