PEOPLE delving into their family's past are being offered some expert help.
A family history help desk will be set up at the county council library in Scarborough, on Saturday, April 13 and Saturday, May 11, from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
Experts from the east Yorkshire Family History Society will be there to help people find their way through the extensive local records.
The events are aimed at anyone interested in taking their first steps in researching family history.
Group librarian David Fay said: "We are delighted to be able to work with the society to host these events. Tracing family records and local history are very popular subjects. It can sometimes be a bit daunting for those taking their first steps and this is an excellent way to get an expert to help you get started."
