FORMER mining communities in Derwentside are being invited to a funding seminar to see if they are entitled to extra cash.
Groups operating in the eligible wards could receive funding through the Neighbourhood Renewal Community Chest and Coalfields Community Chest schemes.
Groups in the following wards are eligible: Annfield Plain, Burnhope, Catchgate, Craghead, Esh, Havannah, South Moor, South Stanley, Stanley Hall and Tanfield.
The seminar will be held at 10am on Wednesday, April 17, at Stanley Civic Centre. Groups wishing to attend should contact Claire Smith on (01207) 218203.
