Crook and District AC
The club secured immediate promotion back into the First Division of the Harrier League after an excellent second place in Division Two at the final event on the demanding Prudhoe 5 mile course. Phil Carter was 7th in 36.03 , Ken Norman 16th in 36.38 ,Geoff Hewitson 38.37, Martin Harbisher 39.31, John Dennis 35.49, Paul Cowan 41.24, Gerry Hehir 41.59 ,Colin Everson & Martin Lowrie 43.24 and Allen Purdham 49.00.
For what is a relatively small club this success is very commendable and is fine testament to their training and teamwork. A good team performance was also achieved at the Redcar half marathon where Malcolm Ingram ran 79.40, John Dennis 80.06 (second Over-50 ) and Kevin Allen 82.05
