SEDGEFIELD Community Association had good weather and a good turnout for its annual children's holiday picnic, held in the grounds of Ceddesfeld Hall.
More than 50 children and their families visited the Grade II-listed former rectory, which is home to the community association.
Both children and adults participated in the Easter bonnet contest and dyed and decorated egg competitions. Results:
Dyed eggs: Five-to-eight years - 1 Robert McGuinness; nine and over - 1 Nikki Creel, 2 Laura Geldart, 3 Sarah McGuinness.
Decorated eggs: Under fives - 1 Adam Lofthouse Hill, 2 William Reid, 3 Charlotte Lomas, 4 Robbie Leach; five to eight years - 1 Sian Johnson, 2 Hannah Lofthouse Hill, 3 Robert McGuinness, 4 Sophie Leach; nine years and over - 1 Jack Evans, joint 2 Melissa Wood and Laura Geldart. Adults: The prizes were all won by local artist James McPherson.
Easter bonnet: Under fives - 1 Georgia Allison Winkley; five to eight years - 1 Hannah Lofthouse Hill; 2 Kate Wilson.
The judge was Alan Smart, chairman of the association.
