A COMPETITION to design a poster for this year's Great Aycliffe Show has been launched.
Youngsters aged four to 17 are being invited to design a poster with the slogan "The Really Great Aycliffe Show".
Posters must be on paper no larger than A4 size (21cm x 21.5cm), and any medium except collage can be used.
The entries should also illustrate activities or entertainment at the show, on June 22 and 23.
Activities include a hot air balloon, parachuting, a human football table and beach volleyball, plus a giant crazy cottage. There will also be a football tournament, whippet racing, goats, a rabbit and cavy show, a bowls tournament and brass bands.
Poster entries should be sent to: Great Aycliffe Town Council. Council Offices, School Aycliffe Lane, Newton Aycliffe; no later than Friday, May 31. For details call Marie Robinson on (01325) 300700
