The Premier Division championship is still unresolved. Steels Social Club defeated Northumbria Police 4-0 and now lead. Billingham Wanderers must win their last game to be champions.

Usworth's 5-0 win against Seaton Delavel on Tuesday puts them clear of relegation, Marden, Blackhall and the Police are relegated. In Division One Mrs Flint's Pirates are the champions and have gained promotion along with Grindon. Third place Sunderland Catholic Club must await the result of the Sedgefield v Gateshead Ex-Servicemen. Two weeks ago these clubs met and Sedgefield won 4-3. A win or a draw would see Sedgefield promoted. In Division Two Barnes Hotel are champions and will be promoted along with Newton Aycliffe and Cleveland Bridge Darlington. The relegated clubs are Boldon Black Bull who incidentally defeated the unbeaten Barnes Hotel 3-2 in extra time in the Ironside Cup semi-final, Roker Queen Vic and Darsley Park.

In Division Three Consett Cricket Club are the champions and along with Touchdown Hotel and Hebburn DT will be promoted. The relegated trio are Willow Pond, Taylors and Oddies.

In Division Four Wingate are champions. Runners-up are Hartlepool RNC who are newcomers to the Over 40s and have done exceedingly well in their first season by gaining promotion. Billingham Town are most unlucky, although in their place at the moment they will miss out on promotion as the result of the last game of the season between Darlington Railway and North Shields Veterans will alter everything. A draw will see Darlington gain promotion and a win by NS Vets will give them promotion so that there is everything to play for in this vital last match.
