THEY say that every dog has his day - and any which live in Richmond will have a chance to prove it this weekend.
The Swale Veterinary Clinic on the town's Gallowfields Industrial Estate is hosting a Fun Dog Show on Saturday to help boost the funds of local organisations as well to raise awareness of National Pet Week.
Local artist, Ann Bushell, will be helping to judge less formal classes - such as the dog with the waggiest tail, the best-behaved puppy and the dog the panel would most like to take home.
However, the best dog in the show will also have to learn how to sit, as the winner qualifies for a portrait session with Ms Bushell.
The programme begins at 2.30pm on the car park at the surgery.
