The halfway point in the regular RLC season saw Teesside's irresistible progress continue, sweeping aside Sunderland City in an 84-6 rout that confirms the Steelers as the almost certain champions elect in the North-East division.
Durham Tigers' victory was less emphatic but rather more unexpected, defeating a strong Bridlington side to reclaim third place, level on points with the Bulls.
All games were played on Saturday May 25: Durham Tigers 30 Bridlington Bulls 20; Sunderland City 6 Teesside Steelers 84.
