PEOPLE in Sunderland are invited to join in a Golden Jubilee service on Sunday.
The inter-denominational service will be held in Sunderland Minster at 6pm and will be led by the city's team rector, Canon Stephen Taylor.
Sunderland's Mayor Peter Gibson will lead the tributes.
He said: "Where better to hold this service than in the beautiful surrounds of Sunderland Minster, the first new minster to be created since the Reformation. Queen Elizabeth did us proud with her visit, so let's join together to do her celebrations proud."
