CYCLISTS who fancy pitting their skills against others are invited to take part in Cleveland Police's Ridewell 2002.

The event, at Preston Park, Stockton, on Sunday, July 21, gives cyclists the chance to win a cash prize if their biking abilities impress.

There are also races for 13 to 16-year-olds and over 16s in the afternoon.

Winners and runners-up will receive cash and prizes, donated by Bikescene, in Guisborough, east Cleveland.

Organiser PC Andy Crawford said: "Although a number of cyclists have entered for this year's event, I would urge those who are intending to enter on the day to book early to avoid disappointment."

Entry forms are available at www.ridewell.net or from PC Crawford on (01642) 301574.
