THOUSANDS of youngsters will enjoy the annual Say No and Phone (Snap) concerts in Newcastle and Sunderland this week.
Northumbria Police are once again backing the concerts for children aged ten and 11, at Newcastle's Telewest Arena from 10.15am to noon today, and at Sunderland Empire, at 10am and 1pm, on Wednesday and Thursday.
More than 4,500 youngsters will be at the Snap concerts, making them aware of the free Crimestoppers number, 0800 555 111. Police hope they will report more crime.
Both concerts will feature David Graham, who has supported chart-topping stars such as Robbie Williams.
There will also be an anti-drug poster, drug slogan and talent competitions.
