Sunderland completed their third signing of the summer yesterday with the capture of Norwegian goalkeeper Thomas Myhre, writes Paul Fraser.
Myhre, who joined on a free transfer from Turkish side Besiktas, signed a three-year deal and he joins new boys Phil Babb and Sean Thornton on Wearside.
All three trained at the Charlie Hurley Centre yesterday and the 28-year-old, who previously spent four years in the Premiership with Everton, is looking forward to plying his trade among the English elite once again.
He said: "It's a fantastic opportunity. I know a lot of the players like Claudio Reyna, Gavin McCann and Thomas Sorensen."
