Drivers in east Cleveland will receive car locks from the police, if they have been repeatedly targeted or live in an area where there are multiple offences.
Cleveland Police has selected 40 people who have had their car stolen or have been targeted by thieves.
Now they are to receive free highly-visible locks through the Redcar and Cleveland Community Partnership.
