Inter-league Trophy
The weather decimated the first week's fixtures in the competition which is between the Boddington's Durham Coast League, The Readers Durham County League, Federation Special Durham Senior League, Fosters Northumberland and Tyneside Senior League and Cleveland Schools.
The Under-13 game at Langley Park, however, was played and the Durham Senior League defeated the Durham County League by six wickets.
Batting first, the County League ended on 124 for six before their overs expired. Smith top scored with 30 and Nicholson contributed 21 while for the Durham Senior League, William Dias claimed three for 15 in five overs.
In reply, the Durham Senior League conceded four wickets before reaching the target. Gary Ashcroft struck seven boundaries in 42 and Michael Walker had one four in 32.
The trophy involved teams at Under-13, Under-15 and Under-18 levels and is competed for over a five-week period with the past game scheduled to be played on August 30.
