A GOOD Samaritan who helped at the roadside after an accident near Malton at the weekend is being asked to come forward by police.
The woman, who was driving a red car, helped by allowing one of the injured to sit inside her vehicle to recover.
The accident happened at 8.15pm on Saturday on the A64 York to Scarborough road, outside Mill Farm, near East Haslerton. A silver Mercedes travelling towards York overtook a line of traffic moments before two cars heading in the opposite direction collided.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident and any witnesses, particularly the good Samaritan, are asked to ring police on (01723) 509555.
