The second week's programme was again badly affected by the weather especially when the Under-13s played.

The Foster's Northumberland and Tyneside Senior League were 107 for nine in their game with the Boddington's Durham Coast League at Castle Eden. Ross Symington of Ashington scored 45 and Andy Smith (Lintz) hit 32, but with the Coast League on four for the loss of two wickets following four overs, the game was abandoned.

The same fate was suffered when the Federation Special Durham Senior League played the North Yorkshire Association of Cricket.

Eppleton's Scott Borthwick contributed 33, Will Dias of Durham City added 31 and South Hetton's Gary Ashcroft 20 to the Senior League score of 125 for eight. Blackett with two for 17 and Wilson who claimed two wickets for 33 runs were the most productive bowlers in the NYAC attack. With their scored on ten without loss the NYAC batsmen and fielders were forced from the field.

The two games at Under-15 level were played to a conclusion and both resulted in close results.

The Coast League ended on 154 for six against the Northumberland and Tyneside Senior League who were 145 for nine when their overs expired.

Conlon (41), Karl Bellerby (32), Stephen Gale (27) and Philip Howe (22no) were the main contributors for the Coast League who ended on 154 for six.

Replying the N and T reached 145 for nine mainly as a result of Kevin Dixon of Lanchester who scored 27 and the Ashington pair Stephen Tiffin (26) and Paul Straker (25). Allan had three for 25 in the Coast League attack and Jones, Lincoln and Conlon all took a couple of wickets in the game which was played at Lanchester.

The NYAC had just three runs to spare defeating the Durham Senior League. Boyd top scored with 30 and Knights added 23 to the home side total of 148 for nine while for the Durham Senior League Bobby Scorer captured four wickets for 24 runs.

Replying Durham Senior League were all out for 145 which included 29 by Michael Dunn and for the winners Boyd also performed well with the ball taking two wickets for 15 runs.
