Anthony Gale and Andrew Stephenson were again in outstanding form for Dawdon in their home game with Silksworth.

Gill contributed 89 and Stephenson added 56 to a total of 171 for two which included 23 by Stephen Gale.

When Silksworth replied almost half their score of 63 for seven came from Paul Howe with 31, while for Dawdon Michael Appleby captured two wickets for three runs and Mark Ewart two for 18.

Murton realised 102 for eight before losing by seven wickets to Boldon CA. Kris Howe top scored with 34 for Murton and for Boldon Kevin Storey had two for 11 and Danny Burridge two for 26.

Karl Bellerby and Chris Burns both scored 25 and Tony Lincoln ended unbeaten on 20 when Boldon responded with 106 for three. Howe picked up two of the three wickets to fall for 15 runs.

Richard Ede claimed five wickets for a meagre 13 runs but still finished on the losing side when Castle Eden went down by 29 runs to Bill Quay for whom James Phillips scored 51 out of a total of 130 for five. John Spellman carried his bat for 33 in the Castle Eden innings which realised 101 for five.

Hylton had 20 runs to spare in their home game with Ryhope. Conlon top performed making 48 of the Hylton total of 125 for nine while for Ryhope David Miller returned three for nine in two overs.

Although Dan Clasper scored 30 with three boundaries and Mark Gratton finished undefeated on 26, Ryhope could only make 105 for six as Jonathan Jones took two for eight and Chris Allan two for 14.

Houghton overtook the Seaham Park total of 116 for four losing one wicket. Tim Bowman ended undefeated on 62 and Craig Dowell was 40 not out. Batting first Seaham Park made a useful total mainly as a result of the efforts of Darren Morton with 58 and Umer Akhtar 32.
