A PENSIONER was badly injured in an accident involving a reversing car.
The unnamed 75-year-old woman sustained serious head injuries in Bolckow Street at the rear of Marks and Spencer, Middlesbrough, where she was on foot.
A Cleveland Police spokesman said the accident happened when the Vauxhall Astra was reversing from Bolckow Street towards Marks and Spencer on Friday.
The elderly woman's condition was reported as "stable'' by staff at Middlesbrough General Hospital. Witnesses are asked to contact PC Peter Hammond, of the road policing unit, on (01642) 301558.
