League newcomers Newton Aycliffe and Meadowfield have been paired together on the opening day of the season in the Auckland and District EBAC Youth League this Saturday.
Newton Aycliffe are based at Chilton Community College, sharing the ground and facilities with league rivals Chilton YC. Meadowfield will be using the local sports centre in John Street North.
The two new teams brings the total of clubs in the league to nine. At their own request, Willington are the odd ones out on the first day of the season as they are short of players due to holidays.
One more under-18 side would be very welcome to join the league, even at this late stage. League secretary Bob Farms can be contacted on (01388) 818192.
