POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a fight which left a man with severe facial injuries.
The man, in his early 30s, was taken to hospital, where he is still being treated, after the attack on Esplanade, Redcar, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Another man, in his early 20s, was bruised but did not need hospital treatment.
Anyone who was in the Lord Street or Esplanade area at about 2.50am is asked to call Acting Detective Sergeant Simon Hurwood, of South Bank CID, on (01642) 301935. Two men have been arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm.
