LEADERS Kirby Sigston won for the 17th time in 21 outings last Saturday, defeating Stafford Place by 20 runs.

Kirby Sigston were all out for just 124, which included 43 by Thompson, as Smith claimed 6-50 for the visitors.

Stafford Place were then given a good send off by openers Lawrence (23) and Connor (24), but the innings closed on 104 as Kendrew returned 5-43 and Clarkson 5-31.

Scruton had six wickets to spare when they overtook the Hutton Rudby total of 139-9.

Dave Barker hit one six and five boundaries in an unbeaten 58 and Brian Barritt contributed 40, with five boundaries, as victory was secured in 37 overs.

Following a slightly delayed start, Hutton Rudby batted 40 overs for their total, which included a useful 35 by Fielding, with two sixes and two fours.

Barritt also had a good day with the ball for Scruton, sending down 20 overs and returning figures of 4-55, while Trevor Howe claimed 3-52 in 12 overs.

Broughton and Kirby totalled 175-1 in their home fixture with Crathorne as Crook batted throughout for an undefeated 94 and Robinson added 54.

Crathorne could then only manage 108 all out as Smith took 6-53 and Briddock 4-52.

Ingleby Greenhow won for the third time, but are still bottom of the table. They restricted Chop Gate to 139-6, which included 35 by Holtby, as Fawcett claimed 3-35 and Jones 2-21.

Ingleby then lost a couple of early wickets before Fawcett, with an unbeaten 61, and Thompson (43no) put together an unbeaten century partnership for the third wicket.

Thimbleby drew their match at Maltby after totalling 162-7. Barningham opened with 26 and Cowton made 40 before Garbutt finished unbeaten on 64. Barber took 5-50 for Maltby, who were 35-7 when the game ended.
