Fishburn Park 5 Whitby Town Res 1

The Macmillan Bowl draw only drew two first division sides together; even more remarkable it paired two Whitby sides together. Fishburn Park were unbeaten up to last week in the League, were entertaining local rivals Whitby Town Reserves, who fell 3-0 down inside ten minutes with Stuart Marsay's hat trick. Fishburn who had set off at a tremendous pace seemed to take their foot of the gas and in the 30th minute Whitby Town pulled a goal back when Dean Price headed into his own goal. But Marsay grabbed his fourthand five minutes later Barry Wood secured a first round match against the winners of next week match Darlington Cleveland Bridge or Grangetown Boys Club.

New Marske SC 0 SMG Redstripes 4

New Marske Sports Club were facing Second Division early leaders Billingham SMG Redstripes in a potential banana skin, and they slipped up after only five minutes when Darren Henry put through his own goal, 15 minutes later New Marske were 2-0 behind when Martin Gingell was on target for the first time this season. Alex Degiorgis and Martin Pugh completed the scoring.

Division One

Acklam SW 3 Mackinlay Park 2

Acklam Steelworks secured their fifth consecutive victory with this narrow win over Redcar side Mackinlay Park. Charlie Agiadis missed a penalty for the home side, but Michael Crowe struck in the 12th minute to calm the home sides nerves but in the 20th minute centre back Phil Maidens made it 1-1. Acklam pushed forward again and took the lead for the second time when George Pain scored in the 27th minute, six minutes later he struck again to make it 3-1 going into the half time break. Maidens scored his second of the match for Park.

BEADS FC 1 Wolviston Res 1

Home side BEADS were guilty of missing chances of the first half of this match against Wolviston Reserves and at half time they were still level at 0-0. In the second half the visitors pressed forward and they took the lead in the 62nd minute when usually reliable keeper Steve Moore, dropped the ball and David Atkinson tapped home his first of the season to give Wolviston the lead. The home side pressed forward and with 15 minutes remaining they drew level when Lee Bowes broke down the right and crossed for Daniel O'Readon to score from close range on his debut.

Bedale FC 2 Grangetown BC 0

Bedale entertained League Champions Grangetown Boys Club in a tight and entertaining end-to-end match, the Boys Club were soon chasing the game when Adam Bramley scored for the home side after only eight minutes. This resulted in the Boys Club pushing the home side back for long periods of the match but they failed to find the goal they required to get back in the match and with 12 minutes of the match the game was just about secured for Bedale when Wayne Gredziak made it 2-0.

Nunthorpe Ath 5 Stokesley SC 1

Nunthorpe Athletic were shocked by visitors Stokesley Sports Club who took the lead against the run of play after 20 minutes, Scott Batty on target. Nunthorpe soon drew level through Peter Boldison ten minutes later, 1-1 the half time score, in the second half Nunthorpe finally got on top and they took the lead on the hour when Boldison was again on target, he completed his hat trick in the 70th minute and Mark Riley added a goal in the 80th minute to make it 4-1 before Boldison grabbed his fourth.

Richmond Town 1 Carlin How 0

Richmond Town capitalised on a defensive mistake in only the second minute of this match to secure all three points. Keeper Michael Sartini set up the move with a long clearance from out of his area, was headed back by the Carlin How centre half, but Richard Thompson nipped in between the Carlin How keeper and his defence to score.

Thornaby YC 4 Hollybush Utd 3

An end to end entertaining match with visitors Hollybush United taking the lead after only six minutes when Adam Booth scored the opener. This was an exciting clash with some attacking play.

Division Two

Bill'ham Wdrs 2 Darlington RA Res 2

Billingham Wanderers and visitors Darlington RA were evenly matched for the whole of this match with the visitors going close through Peter Gormley early in the first half, but Billingham keeper Andy Grafton saved on a one to one situation, Gary Bint went close for the home side but his shot was well saved. Three minutes into the second half Lee Thompson gave the home side the lead when he lobbed the advancing keeper. Three minutes later Bint finally got on the score sheet when he got into a good position and slid the ball home from just inside the area to make it 2-0, John Cairns then shot wide when well place to increase the Billingham side lead and three minutes later a dubious penalty was awarded from which Steve Appleby pulled it back to 2-1 and with only three minutes a corner at the Darlington end was cleared and Peter Gormley followed up to hammer the ball home from twenty-five yards to grab his side a share of the spoils in an entertaining match.

Dorman FC 6 Darlington CB 2

Dormans again had to play on another pitch and took a 2-0 lead when entertaining Darlington Cleveland Bridge, Darren Rothwell and Carl Brunskill scored within the first 20 minutes, before Cleveland Bridge pulled a goal back from a Phil Sheridan penalty, but Rothwell scored again to make it 3-1 before Wayne Buckley replied. In the second half Dormans proved to be the more stronger side and Rothwell completed his hat trick with Brunskill adding two further goals to secure his hat trick and a 6-2 win to move into third in the table.

Teesside Arriva 0 Guisb Town Res 1

Hartlepool side Teesside Arriva totally dominated this match with their man of the match Paul Proudlock pulling the strings in midfield, but they missed chance after chance and in the 30th minute a break by visitors Guisborough Town Reserves saw Andrew Davies score what turned out to be the only goal of the game.

Teesside Ath 4 Teesside Link 1

Redcar side Teesside Athletic got of to a flying start when entertaining Thornaby side Teesside Link, when a ball from midfield found Lee Anderson on the right who fed the ball to Chris Ellis who tucked the ball under the keeper to make it 1-0. The remainder of the half swung end to end until just before halftime when a through ball found Jamie Martin who just got to the ball before the visitors keeper. 2-0 the halftime score. In the second half the visitors pressed forward trying to find a way back into the match but in 73rd minute a through ball found Alex Hugill who beat the keeper onto a through ball and slotted home to make it 3-0. Ten minutes later the home side again beat the offside trap and Steve Dotchin added a fourth before blotting his copybook by getting sent of with Steve Hill grabbing a late consolation with three minutes remaining.
