Jack Mason ran an excellent race at the Bradford 10km on September 8 incorporating the Yorkshire 10km championship finishing 19th in the Open Veterans race in 39.12.
On the same day six Harriers took part in the Ray Harrison Memorial race at Billingham. Ben Wilson was first harrier home in 13th place in 36.47. Also Steve Hutchinson 23rd in 38.07; Sharon Carbert 68th in 42.43 (4th female finisher), Brian Hay 99th in 45.42; John Brant 115th in 46.54, Julie Peacock 160th in 51.03.
At the Tartan Games held at Gateshead International Stadium on August 24 Emma Cliffed finished fifth in the final of the 800m, fifth in 200m and 11th in the long jump.
Tara Kennedy competed in the long jump, 200m and 100m. Younger sister Leah competed in the standing long jump, 60m and cricket ball throw. Training at Eastbourne sports complex on Tuesday and Thursday from 6.15pm.
