THERE were plenty of jokes about drinking like a fish when Koi carp lovers held their annual get-together in a brewery.
The North-East Koi Club held its annual meeting in the Lancastrian Suite of the Federation Brewery, in Gateshead, the famed supplier of beer to the region's clubs. On display in large pools were some of the finest specimens of Koi in the region, lovingly cared for by their owners. It is the second show that the club has held in the suite, a popular venue for charity functions.
