Bishop Auckland under-18s enjoyed a 6-0 victory at home to Sacriston in the preliminary round of the Durham County Youth Cup on Saturday.

Anthony Dunn (2), Chris Hutton, Darryl Hall and Lee Atkinson (2) got the goals. Andrew Fairley was MoM for Bishops and Daniel McDonough MoM for Sacriston.

Spennymoor Legion lost 4-0 away to Ryhope CW in the same competition. Glen Bosher, Paul Fenwick (2) and David Carrick found the net.

Willington won 5-2 after extra time away to Ferryhill in the preliminary round of the South West Durham Presidents Cup. It was 2-2 at 90 minutes. Robert Punshon, Martin Hopps, John Maddison (2) and Dean Hansom scored for Willington. Liam Pearson and Chris Hodgson netted for Ferryhill, whose MoM was Tony Morgan.

Barnard Castle won 4-3 at home to Coundon & Leeholme in the first round of the Lady Eden Hospital Cup. Coundon led 2-0 early on, Barney pulling it back to 2-2 before going 3-2 ahead. Coundon levelled to make it 3-3 at half time with the home side getting the only goal of the second half to take all three points. Andrew Rodriguez Vanilla, James Harwood and Andrew Smith (2) were the Barney Boys on target, Carl Thomas and Chris Scott (2) netting for the Coundon lads.

A goal from Mark Brischuk was enough to give Chilton YC a 1-0 victory at home to Newton Aycliffe in the Auckland and District EBAC Youth League.

Willington

Willington Boys under-14s had a fine 3-1 victory at home to South Tyneside in the Russell Foster Junior League premier division. The visitors were promoted last season as division one champions, and they were previously unbeaten this term. Willington took the points with goals from MoM Lewis Hope (2) and Harry Drummond.

The Willington under-16s lost 5-4 at home to South Shields Wanderers. In this top of the table clash, Willington led 2-0 only for Shields to pull it back to 2-2. Willington were then reduced to ten men when Leon Howe was sent off for his second booking. MoM Daniel Lee (2), Martin Hopps and David Jackson scored for Willington.

Bishop Auckland St Mary's

Bishop Auckland St. Mary's under-13s continued their high-scoring exploits by beating visitors Stockton West End 3-2 on penalties after a 5-5 draw in extra time in their Teesside Junior Alliance league cup tie. It was 4-4 after 90 minutes. Kyle Etherington, Danny Bell, John Dowd (2) and Paul Dawes scored for Bishops in normal play, Steve Lowes netting the winning penalty.

St. Mary's under-14s lost 2-1 at home to South Bank in the league after leading 1-0 at half time with a Michael Slater goal. The under-12s lost 8-0 at home to Norton & Stockton Ancients in the league cup after holding the visitors to 0-0 at half time.

The St. Mary's under-10s also leaked goals in the second half of their league cup tie at home to Darlington 21 All Stars. It was 0-0 at half time, the visitors running out 6-1 winners with Joe King netting for Bishops.

Darlington Mount Pleasant Rangers

The Under 12s A team played against Guisborough at home in the cup and after some fantastic football won a deserved 6-0. Rangers scorers were Mikey Smith (3), Kevin Coglan, Sean Lowe & Scott Hastie.

The Under 11s B team played in the Richmondshire Cup at home against Brompton and won convincingly 4-1. Rangers scorers were Dominic Ryan (2), Adam Swan & og. MOM, James Park.

The Under 8s A team played away against Hartburn in the league and after a hard battle lost 5-2. Rangers scorers were Sam England & Aidan Smith. MOM, Danial Turnbull.

Darlington Spraire Lads

It was cup week this week for most Spraire teams. At under ten Spraire crashed out of the cup losing 4-1 to Stockton West End the Spraire goal came from Chris Charlton.

At under 14 the Spraire went through to the next round winning 7-0 against South Park in an excellent team performance the goals came from Craig Lavelle (3) Micheal Ward, Tom Howard and one for man of the match Richard Sheperdson.

At under 12 Spraire played a thriller against Whinney Banks the scores being 2-2 at the end of normal time. Even in extra time the teams could not be split the score line being 3-3 at this stage. Spraire managed to progress thanks to penalties. The scorers for Spraire were Ward (2) and Verity man of the match went to keeper Wood.

At under nine Spraire drew 2-2 with Cleveland Juniors Spraires goals came from Kerry Hedley (pen) the other being an own goal.

SpraireLasses at under 12 won 8-4 against Billingham Town the goals coming fromRacheal McKnight (5) Laura Gowling (2) and Helen McTaague, girl of the match went to Kaity McTague. At under ten Spraire Lasses won 3-1 against Billingham goals from Nicole Henry, Katie Blair and Grace Patterson.

Spraire Lads U14B were very unlucky to go down 2-1 to Stokesley. An unfortunate own-goal gave Stokesley the lead but McBride put Spraire level with a superb lobbed goal. However, a mix-up in defence gifted Stokesley a second goal.

Spraire Lads U7S drew 0-0 at home to Marton Hall Drive.

Spraire Lads recorded an excellent win over the Allstars on Saturday saw them dominate the first half, but taking nearly 11 minutes to score the first of four goals. Josh Norris started the scoring with a run down the right playing a one-two with Jim Wilson before hitting a low shot past the Allstars keeper. Carl Brack provided the second with a neat lob over the advancing keeper and Jim Wilson finish off the goalscoring with 2 fine goals late on in the game. Spraire lads ran out 8-0 winners against Horden Juniors.

The game was barely seconds old when Jim Wilson hit a long range shot which beat the Horden juniors goalkeeper. Spraire lads continued to dominate the first half with further goals coming from Rikki Gann who scored twice, Carl Brack and Josh Norris and Jim Wilson getting his second. In the second half Horden juniors limited the scoring but Josh Norris got his second with a fine header at the back post before Jim Wilson completed his hatrick.

In a second friendly match against Horden the Spraire lads won 6-1 with a great hatrick from Liam Mckue, two goals from Zac Fluen and Ben Joyeux finishing off the scoring.

Spraire U13s suffered a 3-1 defeat to Norton & Stockton Ancients in the second round of the TJFA League Cup. Spraire Lads had the better of the first half, but conceded the first goal before Sam Wootten replied to level the scores. The Ancients scored a further twice.

Tyne Tees Girls League Challenge Cup

Billingham were defeated 8-4 by Spraire Lasses U12. Spraire Lasses made a bright start with a goal from a Rachel McKnight free kick in the first minute. After ten minutes Billingham equalised through Jessica Close. Jodie Green and Leanne Spence held firm at the back for Spraire Lasses with McKnight scoring her second after 18 minutes.

Just before half-time Rachel Turner-Holmes equalised with McKnight completing her hat-trick to take Spraire Lasses into a 3-2 lead.

Within two minutes of the third quarter Laura Gowling scored direct from a corner and Helen McTague took her chance well to give the Lasses a 5-2 cushion.

Keely Edwards and Leah Curry worked hard for the Lasses with GOTM Kate McTague having a superb game in goal.

Jennifer Caygill pulled a goal back for Billingham only for Gowling to make it 6-3 to Spraire. In the final quarter Rachel Turner-Holmes pulled a goal back for Billingham.

In the last minute McKnight scored twice to achieve five goals scored and the final score 8-4 to Spraire Lasses. Spraire Lasses play Middlesbrough FITC in round two.

Darlington Simply Lasses, meanwhile, started this game very strongly and in the first quarter Darlington went close to scoring several times.Zoe Cooke had several shots deflected or saved by the Stockton keeper but it was against the run of play in the seventh minute when Sara Ellis collected a loose ball and converted for the away side.

Nine minutes into the next quarter Sara Ellis scored again and then Rebecca Moore added another to send Darlington into a 0-3 deficit just before the half way stage.One minute before half time however Kerry Denham lobbed the ball into the roof of the Stockton net after collecting from a corner and Darlington began a spirited fight-back.

Ten minutes into the next quarter another Darlington defender,Lisa Kelly ran throught the Stockton defence and with a strong left foot shot brought the score to 2-4.Shortly afterwards Vicki Hutchison scored Stockton's fifth and it seemed like Darlington were out the game.

However Darlington finished strongly and seemed to be back in the game when in the last few minutes Kerry Denham added two more to her tally making it a hat-trick for her and bringing the score back to 4-5.

Unfortunately for the home side they ran out of time and Stockton West End through to the next stage of the cup.

Darlington 21st Allstars

This week saw mixed fortunes for the Allstars with many goals for and against but the Allstars continued to display excellent discipline and an exemplary conduct record

The U13s visited Primrose Hill Boys and pulled off an outstanding 9-0 win.

The U19's took on Premier FC from Hartlepool, winning 10-0. The match was very one-sided with Allstars dominating the match.

The U12s were at home to Eston Athletic carrying off a convincing 4-0 victory. this was an all round solid team performance with Allstars playing some excellent attacking football.

The U10s were away to Bishop Auckland St Mary's and after a fine performance pulled off a 6-1 win. This was a well- spirited match with all team players showing commitment.

The friendly was also won by Allstars with five fine goals being scored and the final score was 50.

The U14s gave a gutsy performance against Beechwood but lost 1-0 away from home. Beechwood scored in the first half from a corner.

The U11s were at home to Hartburn Juniors in the league Cup-tie and after an entertaining game won 4-2. This was an excellent all round team performance from everyone involved. Darren Swankie opened the scoring with a fantastic goal and Dale Dixon scored his first of the season. Hartburn were punished with two further goals, both converted in the penalty area.

The UI0 Colts were away to Aycliffe Boys in the League Cup and lost 4-0 Aycliffe played a controlled game and even though Allstars continued to play some good football, they found it hard to get on the scoresheet. MOM Calllum Woodcock

The Allstars gave a much better performance in the friendly, but lost the match 2-1 Callum Woodcock was the goal scorer and Phillip Wake was MOM.

The U12 Colts were hosts to Billingham Symthonia for this evenly matched game. Billingham scored early in the first half and Allstars worked hard to bring the score line to a draw at half time. Billingham went ahead again but Allstars never gave tip and equalised. The match ended with a 3-2 Allstars victory after a brilliant save from Liam Clarke. The U11 Colts suffered an 8-2 defeat in this ham match against Aycliffe Youth. Although Allstars showed good commitment, they were out-played.

The U15 Colts were at home to Eaglescliffe Elliments in the League Cup. Allstars worked hard and gave a good team performance but luck was not on their side and Eaglescliffe won the match 4-1. Goal Scorer Adam Yeadon.

The U8s took on Spraire Lads in the League Cup and the experience of the Spraire Lads proved to be too much for this new Allstars team. Although Allstars continued to fight hard, the game ended in a 3-0 defeat. MOM Jonathon Burns

In the league match the U18s suffered a 15-0 defeat against in Redcar Town. MoM Jonathan Burns.

The U17s took on Hartlepool Power Station A team in the League Cup in the thrilling match. The Allstars worked hard ending the game 3-3 in normal time. Hartlepool scored in extra time with the final scoreline 4-3. Goal Scorers Tommy Wright Scott Hodgson Gary Buckley MOM Gary Buckley

The U16s were hosts to Kader FC in this League Cup round. Kader proved to be the stronger team scoring five goals in the first half. Although the Allstars gave a much improved performance in the second half, Kader scored again ending the match in a 6-0 defeat.
