Archdeacon moved to the top of the table with this point but rued several missed chances in the first half, their lead being confined to James Howlett's opener. Grey Horse fought back after the interval and only scorer Darren Tate levelled matters after 50 minutes. Deacon went ahead in controversial circumstances when the referee awarded a free kick to Grey Horse but allowed Deacon's Tommy Wright to take it and he duly dispatched the ball into an empty net. A twice taken penalty allowed Grey Horse to level through Neil Allinson and three minutes from time a missed penalty by the Deacon prevented them from taking all three points in an excellent encounter.

DSRMSC Res 1 Shuttle and Loom 8

Shuttle scored four in each half to inflict another heavy defeat on Rolly's Reserves. Liam Coleman scored Rolly's first half consolation, Paul Hutchinson (3), Chris Airey (2), M of M Terry Greenstreet and subs Phil Shields and David Arrowsmith were Shuttle's scorers.

Neither side had trouble with the scores until the how mark when Wall decided to introduce some youth onto the pitch in the shape of subs Andrew Macintosh and Mark Thompson and it was the latter who broke the deadlock when he broke away to finish in style. Thompson repeated his effort 15 minutes later and was only denied a hat trick following a fine move from Old Boys M of M keeper Andrew Merry.

Killinghall Arms 5 Post Boy 1

Killie set off like a house on fire and putting last week's disappointing defeat behind them raced into a 4-0 interval lead against the current champions. Post Boy reduced the arrears in the second half through Jason Rothwell but Killie working very hard continued to thwart Post Boy's efforts to get back into the game. Killie copped a fine win with a stunning fifth from sub Jamie Langburn. M of M Andy Roberts (2), Danny Fleary and David Watson were Killie's first half scorers.

East End WMC were no match for Durham Alliance outfit Brandon Station and went out at the first hurdle by 6-0.

However there was better news of Albion who beat Crook White Swan 6-1 with goals from Gary Mitchell (3), John Banks (2) and Christopher Robinson and Newton Aycliffe who made the long journey to Wearhead and in a wind assisted game came back from two down at the interval to beat United by 5-2. Duff (2) Little, Swainston and Campbell their scorers.
