THE date has been announced for auditions to find a young actor to star in the West End smash, The Full Monty.

The producers of the hit musical, in collaboration with Stagecoach Theatre Arts Schools, are looking for a ten to 13-year-old boy to play the part of Nathan, the son of Jerry, the lead character in the musical.

The auditions - to be held on Wednesday, October 30, at the Darlington Arts Centre - are open to any boy who fits the age range and is 4ft 10in or less.

Auditions, organised by the Darlington Stagecoach school, start at 7pm and one youngster will be chosen to go through to a national final audition in November.

The lucky young actor chosen to become Nathan will have a few weeks to rehearse before taking to the stage in London at The Prince of Wales Theatre.

Anyone interested in the part can call (01325) 337667 for an application form, which must be returned by Monday, October 28.
