PAul Taylor, from Newton Aycliffe, has scooped £2,000 in an online competition.
Mr Taylor won the money after entering internet service provider AOL's Thanks To You competition.
AOL is giving away £2,000 every day until the end of January to celebrate the company reaching the two million members mark in the UK last month.
All entrants will be put into a £200,000 prize draw in February.
