YOUNGSTERS have shown support for those less fortunate by packing boxes full of Christmas treats.
Pupils at St Hild's C of E Primary School, in Durham, spent the weeks leading up to Christmas filling shoeboxes with toys, clothing, jewellery and toiletries for the underprivileged.
The gifts, along with those donated by people throughout the UK, have now been distributed to youngsters in more than 100 countries as part of Operation Christmas Child.
Franklin Graham, international president of Samaritan's Purse, the charity behind the operation, said: "Operation Christmas Child shares the true meaning of Christmas with millions of poor, suffering and sick children throughout the world.
