PART of Harrogate's spa heritage is set to be turned into a complex of luxury apartments.
David Wilson Homes Northern wants to build 24 two and three-bedroomed homes where the western block of the Royal Baths - the centre of spa treatments in their Edwardian and Victorian heyday - once stood.
The block, which had been derelict since treatments ceased over 30 years ago, was knocked down as part of the initial phase of redevelopment work on the baths.
Councillors have already accepted the principle of turning the area, adjacent to the town's Montpellier Quarter - and part of a public car park - over to housing and will consider the details of the scheme on Thursday, January 9.
The builders intend to protect well-heads on the site by capping them and will record them on a plan which will be erected at the complex.
