THE air cadets of east Cleveland have celebrated the squadron's 40th anniversary.
The mayor and mayoress of Redcar and Cleveland, Eric Jackson and Brenda Forster, attended a band concert.
More than 150 members and former members attended the occasion. The guest of honour was wing commander Kenneth Davies.
Meanwhile, air cadets Daniel Mussett and Robert Granger, both 14 and pupils at Huntcliffe School, in Saltburn, received the Royal British Legion Redcar Branch Poppy Appeal shield for collecting £239 for the appeal
