A DARLINGTON company has been presented with an award for excellence in health and safety by 1966 World Cup hat-trick scorer Sir Geoff Hurst.
West's Engineering Design, along with 50 members of the Teesside Safety, Health and Environmental (She) partnership, won a Health and Safety Executive working well together award.
The Teesside She partnership was formed in 1999 to promote excellence in safety management and performance.
Their many initiatives to prevent accidents and ill health within the local workforce secured the award.
It was presented at a recent dinner at which Sir Geoff spoke about how teamwork helps to achieve goals
