BBC Radio Cleveland's Matthew Davies, John Foster and Caroline Davis are on the move in a reshuffle at the station which takes effect on Monday.

Presenter Matthew Davies, who is the BBC Local Radio Presenter of the Year, is moving to a new mid-morning show after four successful years on the afternoon show as part of weekday schedule changes. Mr Foster, who joined BBC Radio Cleveland less than a year ago, moves into Mr Davies's 2pm to 5pm slot. Mr Foster, who has previously worked for TFM and Magic 1152, has attracted a big following on his 5am to 7am show. Ms Davis switches to a new special projects brief.

FOUNDER'S FUNERALl: The funeral of Stanley Blues Festival founder John Kearney, who died suddenly aged 55, will be held on Wednesday at 1.15pm in St Mary's Church, Blackhill, Consett, County Durham. It will be followed by cremation at Mountsett Crematorium, near Burnopfield.

HEAVY RESCUE: A 24st man had to be rescued by firefighters when he became ill at his home on Teesside yesterday. The fire brigade was called to his house in Marsh House Avenue, Billingham, when friends could not lift him. He was eventually removed from the house by fire officers and was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees. A fire engine accompanied the ambulance to help lift the man when they arrived at accident and emergency. His condition is not known.

SCHOOLS CONTRACT: A controversial contract worth £42m for four new schools has been approved by council chiefs. North Tyneside Council has signed its Schools for the Future Private Finance Initiative contract, which will see Burnside High School and Western Primary School, in Wallsend, and Coquet Park and Marine Park First Schools, Whitley Bay, demolished and rebuilt.

MAN CHARGED: David Wilkinson, 22, of The Hawthorns, in Cruddas Park, Newcastle, will appear before magistrates in the city this morning, charged with murder. Police said the charge followed the death of 26-year-old Paul Roe, who was stabbed to death at The Hawthorns early on New Year's Day. He had been staying at the flats. Two other men, aged 47 and 53, have been released without charge.

SEX ATTACK: Police on Tyneside are hunting a dark-skinned man who got out of a Ford Escort and indecently assaulted a 30-year-old woman walking alone along Broadwood Road, Scotswood, Newcastle, at about 3.30am on New Year's Day. Two men heard her screams and the attacker sped off. Anyone with details is asked to call police on 0191-214 6555.

FOOTBALL SHOW: Former Middlesbrough footballers, Jamie Pollock and Terry Cochrane are to co-host a new sports show on 96.6 TFM, called 90 Minutes Live. It will be broadcast on Saturdays between 8.30am and 10.00am and will be presented by 96.6 TFM's Paul Smith, along with the voice of TFM sport, James Joseph. The show will feature a weekly line up of stars from on and off the pitch.

CATHEDRAL SERVICE: Ripon Cathedral is to hold a service for all adults involved in education on February 9, at 5.30pm. It will be held a week ahead of Education Sunday and will include a chance for those attending to rededicate themselves to teaching.

FINE ART: The 33rd annual Harrogate winter antiques and fine art fair will be held at pavilion, on the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, from January 30 to February 2.
