Newton Aycliffe had one runner in the Loftus Poultry run this year. The race is an eight-mile multi terrain course with an excess of 450 runners taking part.
Brent Morfoot was the runner taking part, this was his last race of 2002 and he certainly made it his best, he completed the tough course in 53.41 with a massive four minute improvement off last year's time. Brent came home in 124th place last year, he has been doing a lot of miles in training and this shows as he smashed last years placing by coming home in 68th place.
