IT was a particularly pleasant Christmas for Margaret Emmerson when she received a hamper after winning a competition.
Mrs Emmerson, of Greatham, near Hartlepool, won the £200 Fenwick's Christmas hamper, from Granite Worktops Direct, a Durham manufacturer of granite and stone work surfaces.
Sales manager Mike Wardle said: "We wanted to run a small promotion for customers ordering in December for installation in January and February."
Mrs Emmerson's name was the first to be drawn out of a hat containing 60 entries.
The Gilesgate company was involved in the supply and manufacture of four war memorials in Hartlepool's Victory Square last year.
